Ed Krebs

A Principal with KNBA since 2006, Ed Krebs takes a leadership role in the business development and civic engagement efforts of the firm. Ed is known and respected for his ability to listen to all stakeholders on a project and ensure that the best decisions are made that meet the project goals, and for his communication and team-building skills. Ed is involved in all phases of project development, providing leadership throughout the firm to ensure that high standards of client service are appropriately maintained.  Ed’s work continues the firm’s legacy in civic involvement and services in the adaptive reuse and preservation arenas.

Throughout Ed’s 30 plus years of experience, he has worked on a variety of structures including public buildings, educational facilities, corporate office, residential and historic preservation projects. His particular expertise lies in master planning, architectural design and detailing, space planning, cost estimating and evaluation of building, fire and accessibility codes. Ed combines this knowledge with a strong interest in sustainability to bring clients thoughtful designs that help them achieve conservation goals. Ed has provided clear leadership for two of the firm’s most significant projects – The Speed Museum Renovation and the Kentucky State Capitol Renovation, both involving large multi-disciplinary teams.

Ed received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky, College of Architecture. He is licensed in Kentucky and Ohio.
