Carole Yocum

AIA, LEED AP, KYCID

Carole brings a deep level of knowledge to KNBA. She has strong experience leading design teams on education, commercial, and civic projects, including new construction, adaptive re-use and restoration of historic buildings.

She believes in the fundamental power of research, messy sketches, and studied observation for comprehensive decision making, and translating clients’ needs into creative and flexible designs. Carole is a co-founder of Kentucky Women-in-Architecture, a non-profit mentoring and networking support group, designed to increase the viability and visibility of women in the field of architecture.

She received a 5-year Bachelor’s in Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky, and a Master’s in Architecture in History and Theory of Architecture from McGill University, in Montreal, Canada. She is registered in Kentucky.
