Relocation of the AAA Baseball team to a new stadium in an emerging urban area in downtown Louisville.

K. Norman Berry Associates, working in collaboration with HNTB Sports Architecture Group, designed the new 13,300 seat class AAA baseball stadium for the Louisville Bats. A key design feature was the integration of the historic Brinley-Hardy Warehouse into the overall project. Retaining and restoring the warehouse, built in 1839, was a vital component of the team’s vision for the project. The converted structure, which encompasses more than 62,000 square feet, serves as the ballpark’s front door and houses 22,000 square feet of future retail shops and restaurants.
