Carole brings a deep level of knowledge to KNBA. She has strong experience leading design teams on commercial and government projects, focusing on adaptive rehabilitation and historic buildings. She has a 5-year B. Arch degree from the University of Kentucky, and a M. Arch in History and Theory of Architecture from McGill University, in Montreal, Canada.
Ms. Yocum believes in the fundamental power of research, messy sketches, and studied observation for comprehensive decision making, and translating clients’ needs into creative and flexible designs. Carole is a co-founder of Kentucky Women-in-Architecture, a non-profit mentoring and networking support group, designed to increase the viability and visibility of women in the field of architecture.
