The school’s first new academic building in decades, this project aims to set a precedent for future growth on campus.

K. Norman Berry Associates Architects was responsible for the overall process, leadership and program coordination of this programming and academic building design project. We worked closely and collaborated with programming specialists, Rickes Associates, national leaders in higher education space needs assessment and programming, and Goody Clancy, architects with whom we have collaborated with in the past that have a deep portfolio in new higher education classroom buildings.

This project is a four-story, 170,000 sq ft academic and career services building. It has been designed to serve undergraduate students on the Belknap Campus of the University of Louisville. It will house more than 50 classrooms, science labs, and group study areas, along with informal gathering spaces and food service options. It also features a Student Success Center, which will integrate academic support, advising and career services into one facility designed to improve the academic experience for undergraduate students and better prepare them for life after college.
