The Speed Art Museum embodies the history of American architecture in a single structure.

The original building was constructed in 1927 with additions in 1954, 1972, 1983 and 1995. K. Norman Berry Associates Architects, Architect of Record, worked with the museum designers, wHY Architecture to complete this addition and renovation. KNBA was entrusted with the responsibility to enhance and clarify the building and obtain LEED certification for this international award-winning structure. These efforts elevated one of the Commonwealth’s most prized structures, updating the facility to current museum standards.
